Submerged Pipes

The BONNA ® pipe is very suitable for underwater projects, especially sea water as no special protection is required.

As the steel is completely imbeded in concrete (pH 12), the iron oxydes that form at the surface of the steel are insoluble and constitute an adhesive and continuous layer which prevents the development of corrosion. This is known as "STEEL PASSIVATION WITH CONCRETE".

No cathodic protection is needed.
